It's very slow going, and how to use them isn't well explained in the section, at all. I've been playing with it lately, doing some solo stuff. I've also added Essentials to the list, and added caveats about the monster selection in 2nd Ed and the class selection in Essentials.The AD&D 1E has a bunch of random tables in Appendix A to randomly generate your own dungeon.
